Big Changes Coming (and I'm Moving to Wisconsin!)
A downward year has taken some surprising turns
Guys and gals,
Been a minute since I did a newsletter.
To catch you up, this year has been wild. In January, I was out of a job and also being hounded by reporters who didn’t have anything better to do. After that, I caught COVID-induced pneumonia just when I began freelancing. Between traveling to Indiana, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina to “find myself,” I worked at a warehouse stocking shelves and packaging products to kill time.
I like to work, what can I say? Gotta pay the bills!
One minute things were really hot, then they were really cold. Now things are getting spicy (in a good way).
Now, I’m happy to report I’ve accepted a full-time position as the digital marketing manager for a Wisconsin-based think tank called The Badger Institute. I started this week and I’m excited to combine my love of creating content with my passion for advocating for policies that lead to freer markets and maximum freedom.
Thank you for your prayers and support, I’ve got some extra updates you might be interested in learning more about below.
Sincerely,
Remso W. Martinez
P.S. Did I mention I’m also getting married? Thought I’d mention that too!

The Shows Go On!
“On The Run” Can’t be Stopped!
Just because I’m moving doesn’t mean that the “On The Run” podcast has to take a pause! You’ll still be getting two episodes a week every Monday and Thursday thanks to the We Are Libertarians Network.
As some of you remember, the WAL community has had its Facebook group taken down, the main Facebook page has had features disabled, and we still are restricted on our YouTube channel. Despite all of this, my show and the others on the network have seen huge increases in direct downloads and our community is tighter than ever before.
What I will ask of you is that if you support WAL and independent content creators, please consider subscribing to us on Odysee, a new video platform where we will be uploading our existing and new original content.
For the Love of Comics and Nerd Stuff
Need a break from crazy? I feel ya!
Marc Clair and I are still dishing out weekly episodes of the Second Print Comics Podcast, where we discuss the stories, characters, and moments that made us the fans we are today.
Recent episodes include us covering the recently adapted for TV title “Invincible” and even a dip into movies by chatting about Zach Snyder’s Justice League.
The Final Chapter of “The Witching Hour” is Upon Us
I could not be prouder of my brother, award-winning television producer Ryan Martinez, and the team of Argos Paranormal for the life-changing three seasons of our show “The Witching Hour" whose new trailer you can now watch below:
You can find channel listings and more by visiting our website argosparanormal.com.
Kelley Vlahos Has a New Podcast- “Crashing the War Party”
My former editor and dear friend Kelley Vlahos is joined by seasoned journalists Daniel Larison and Barbara Boland as they present to you a new series putting the corruption of the D.C. blob and military-industrial complex on trial. It is a pleasure to be their show’s editor since I, having served our nation in uniform, directly understand how far away our nation’s foreign policy has drifted from our Constitution. Check it out:
Barbara, Kelley, and Dan aren't invited but they are crashing the party anyway. In this first episode, they will get it off their chests: the Beltway Blob is corrosive and toxic, lacking in self-awareness and helping the U.S. bumble and stumble into back foreign policy decisions while marginalizing voices of reason and restraint. We'll talk, too, about the war hangover and how to start cleaning up the mess.

I Explain Dogecoin and “Woke” Comics to Ben Stein
Check out my recent appearance on The World According to Ben Stein!
Talking the Paranormal with Jess Rogge from The Rogge Report
I was happy to join former television reporter and broadcaster Jess Rogge on her radio program at Fringe.FM to discuss the final season of “The Witching Hour” and the moments that changed my view of the paranormal.
