Hey gang,
I love hearing stories about how people are making tons of cash working simple, yet necessary, side hustles online. The big question I get from people looking into starting digital freelancing is where to start out.
For me, it was as a seller on Fiverr.
I wanted to make it as easy for all of you to learn from my experience as a Fiverr vendor, so I went ahead and recorded a full podcast about it.
You can listen to the full episode here today (and learn why I also banned a client).
Below is also a preview and a link to an article I wrote way back which I expand upon in the episode. I’d recommend reading it first, and then listening to the episode since I think it’ll make more sense that way (especially since I’ve gained a ton of new experience since this was first published).
Six Lessons I Learned as a Freelancer on Fiverr
There was a point in the past year where I felt my skills were useless, like the network I had developed didn’t see me as a professional of value, and that the time I worked on developing myself as a published author and journalist was all for nothing. The truth is that it is hard to take pride in your vocation when you can’t pay the bills. Things changed however in January of this year and I began to get offered writing contracts out of the blue, and before I knew it contracts for paid writing projects and gigs were flying my way on a weekly basis. Now, I just needed a way to spend more time writing while also finding a way to squeeze pennies out of every word I typed, so I did something most “professional” and “distinguished” writers wouldn’t be caught dead doing- I starting offering writing services on Fiverr.com.
At first, a month went by and nothing happened, then the second month passed and I got a random message, but no buyers. Soon enough I started getting flooded with buyers and potential clients, and now I’m at the point where I’m having to reject people. Working as a freelance writer on Fiverr has helped me renew a sense of pride in my skills, provide quality service and copy to those that need it, and provide me with a growing stream of income in addition to my regular writing contracts. In order to help empower writers who are looking for an opportunity to grow or just want to help gain some gas money, here are the six tips I have gained as a freelance writer on Fiverr.

l’m not a financial adviser or certified professional. I only do what I feel is right for me, and as someone that has had a unique career path, passive income through investing has allowed me to build wealth and earn reliable cash flow. While administrations come and go, and policies change by the day, ultimately the biggest impact on my financial health and future are the decisions I make regarding my money.
If the recent defense of corrupt hedge funds, Wall Street bankers, and immoral regulators have shown us anything, it’s that the only people with our best interest at heart when it comes to our money are ourselves.
