On my old show, I got thousands of downloads per episode within a twenty-four-hour period.
These days with On The Run, I’m lucky if I hit that number within a month.
This isn’t a “woe is me” situation, I knew what I was getting myself into.
Long before my social media accounts were tanked, YouTube pulled my content, and our Facebook group was nuked, I had already made the ultimate decision that I knew would kill my downloads.
On The Run was going to be a completely different podcast. This show was going to be about learning skills, making money and having fun. I wanted people to feel they were the hero of their own story and less like a spectator.
By not talking about politics, I knew I was going to lose the folks who wanted to hear hot-takes and confirmation bias.
I wanted to arm people with ideas and resources that they could use to improve their lives and communities, as opposed to fighting with strangers in the comment section of Facebook. Besides, who wants a Medal of Honor as a keyboard warrior?
Sure, I don’t have tens of thousands of “fans” anymore, but what I do have is hundreds of leaders who are taking actionable steps toward bettering their lives.
If you’re an OTR listener who hasn’t joined Hustler’s University 2.0, I hope today is the day you change that. Hustler University 2.0 is the only effective and ever-evolving online school where you can learn how to escape the Matrix by obtaining skills and generating wealth that could improve your life and the lives of those you love.
The harsh reality is, that politician you sent $100 doesn’t care about you. How about you spend $49 per month investing in someone who does care about you-- yourself?
I’ll see you inside.
